Today's Progress
Christina headed over to my house after work tonight and we are watching 'In the Loop' while working on our projects. I am almost done with coloring in the sketches and Christina has moved on to another outfit's set of knit accessories. Two down ten to go.
We have taken on another project to go along with the work we have already set for ourselves. We are trying to watch as many Oscar nomination movies as possible before the Oscars March 7th. 'In the Loop' was nominated for best adapted screen play so that one will be checked off at the end of the night. We went to see 'The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus' on Sunday which is nominated for art direction and costumes. That was really an amazing movie very thought provoking and beautiful. The movies that are on DVD already we have put on Netflix and we will be watching as we work. The others we will try and see in theaters whenever we need a break from working.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask in a comment we would love to hear from you. We promise the blog will get more interesting soon the planning process is coming to an end and soon we will be heading into production and show planning.

Problems=Added Interest and Fun Challenges
So it is Jessica again. Today I had the whole day to work on stuff and I spent it going back and forth between creating a knitted pattern for the one outfit I am in charge of and coloring in sketches.
Now I am not sure how much detail anyone wants to read but I had a frustrating problem with both projects. It somehow skipped my mind that the paper you use for drawing is very important based on what media you want to use. Now usually I just use basic printer paper for my sketches and I use prisma color markers to color things in and occasionally I will use colored pencils as well to add texture. This time I thought that I should class up my paper selection so I grabbed an old sketch book and set to work. Now when the time came to finally color in the sketches I was supper excited until I started to work. The paper was made for pencil and charcoal sketching and markers reacted badly on the paper bleeding all over. Now although at first it felt like the end of the world because I had put so much time into each sketch I was able to make them look pretty decent with some colored pencil details and a finishing marker. I definitely have to cut them all out and remount them before we show the finished ones to anyone.
So when I hit that problem I switched to the knitting project which was fun for awhile until I remembered that I have the bad habit of pushing down on the needle every time I take a stitch off. I had developed a callous before but it has been awhile since I have really knitted for a long uninterrupted stretch so the tip of my finger is quite sore at the moment.
Even though this post seems like I'm complaining I would like to say that today was still an awesome day. The problems added another layer of interest to the projects I was working on and the sense of accomplishment on fixing the drawing after almost ruining it was pretty awesome. The sore finger just adds a challenge to keep knitting and work up that callous again. (And who knows maybe the unconscious sucking of my sore finger will appear sexy to people. :) j/k)
Well I need to head to bed back to my other job tomorrow.

Happy Day!
And this was this morning . . . We got our company credit card and waisted no time using it! We stopped for breakfast on our way to the fabric store (because we were hungry, and to wait out the traffic). Don't worry, we didn't charge our breakfast!

We were at the fabric store for 3 hours! We made several changes from our previous visit, partially because some of the fabrics were gone, and partially to save some dough.
We ended up with a trunk load of fabric and two big smiles. No turning back now!
