1 month mark!!
Wow, it's hard to believe that the show is one month from today. That's right everyone, mark it on your calenders - September 23rd. I think we will have shows at 7 and 9pm, but we'll get that info up soon. Since it's getting to be crunch time, we have a craaaaazy weekend! We completed our test jackets. I am very excited about this because it means that order a jacket will be that much easier. These jackets are mock-ups that can be applied to any of the jackets in our line. When you want to order one, you choose the jacket, then you determine the size by trying these on. Since we are using the same basic pattern, it should work like a gem! It's also very handy when making the samples for our models.
Another big thing we got done was a second photo shoot. This time we had all the right pieces and people, so I'm feeling really good about it. Once we get the photos back, we'll be putting together advertisement stuff, which is soooo exciting! Stay tuned everyone, stuff is happening :)

Christina's Weekend
Hi all! Although Jessica and I were not able to work together this weekend, it was still a productive one. I got a ton of crocheting done, and in fact ran out of yarn. It's OK though, because my arms and shoulders need a break! I also got most of one jacket done. Just another fitting and some finial touches, and we'll be ready to photograph the outfit. Very exciting!
As far as the show goes, we have run into a few bumps, but we have a venue walk-through tomorrow, so that should lift our spirits. More on that soon . . .

A Jessica Update
Well I have been letting Christina do most of the blogging so I figured I should make a point to get on here. Since my mind is on business and I really don't want to start my next crochet project this is probably the best time.
As you can tell from our lack of blogging we have been busy. Converting the studio took valuable time out of our production schedule and we have been working hard to catch up. Things are feeling pretty good now. We have had some fittings and actually have quite a growing inventory of finished garments.
This evening we had a meeting with Sarah who is a good friend of ours that wanted to help with the show planning. It was a relief to have Sarah take over on the show so that we can focus on the line. I was having a reoccurring nightmare that we would finish the line and only our families and a few friends would come to some wimpy little show that we put together at the last minute. This show is going to rock. :) We will update you more soon as the details fall into place.
Otherwise I am really psyched about the way our studio turned out it feels lived in now and we have everything set up for maximum efficiency. It has also been an amazing escape on the scorching hot days this summer to the cool basement. Thank god otherwise it would really be hard to think about fall clothing.
Oh one more thing that I really wanted to tell everyone is that Mary Ellen has partnered with us and is going to be showing Turtle Ridge handbags with our line. For anyone who doesn't know Mary Ellen's work check out her website www.turtleridgegallery.com she also has a blog link on there you should check out that has a lot of her more recent pieces. We are really excited because she is even introducing some new work at our show. Her new bags really have a hip young feeling to them while bringing back some favorite vintage shapes and details. This really is going to be a fun show lot of eye candy; clothing, knit and crochet accessories, and handbags.
Well I'm off time to play with the cats a little and head to bed.
